Joerg Degener

Joerg Degener is a seasoned HR professional with extensive experience in human resources operations and shared services across various organizations. Currently serving as the Head of HR Operations at the Universität Zürich since January 2019, Joerg previously held the position of Head of HR Shared Service Center at Swissport from September 2017 to August 2018. Joerg's career also includes a significant tenure at Kuoni Travel Group, where roles encompassed Head HR Shared Service Center, Head Operations HR Shared Service Center, Head Payroll Services, and Group HR Projects from August 2001 to May 2017. Earlier in the career, Joerg worked as an HR Expert at TUI Service AG from November 1997 to August 2001. Joerg holds a Dipl.Kfm. (FH) degree in Human Resources, Finance & Controlling from Fachhochschule Oldenburg/Ostfriesland/Wilhelmshaven, completed in 1997.
