Doug Trapp

Doug Trapp is a Senior Communications Specialist at University Research Co., LLC (URC) & Center for Human Services (CHS) since February 2019, where a successful content strategy has doubled social media followers and maintained high engagement rates. Trapp has created numerous campaigns, including the notable #MeetTheNewURC video series, and has facilitated the sharing of posts by key USAID Missions, reaching a wider audience. Previous roles include Communications Specialist at URC, Web Editor and Web Writer at Abt Associates, and Washington Reporter for American Medical News, where Trapp received awards for investigative reporting. With a degree in Visual Communications from Ohio University, Trapp also served as a Volunteer English Teacher with the U.S. Peace Corps in Madagascar and began a career in journalism with CityBeat Newspaper.
