Maahe Kunvar

Maahe Kunvar is an accomplished undergraduate research assistant at the Vonhoff Neuroscience Lab at the University of Maryland Baltimore County since August 2023. Prior experience includes significant roles at Yale University, where collaboration with Dr. Lydecker focused on mental health and body image among youth, and as an intern at the Maryland House of Delegates, contributing to legislation on reproductive healthcare and student rights. Leadership positions include President and Communications Director for Montgomery County Students for Change, organizing extensive advocacy efforts, and serving as President of MoCo STEPS, leading initiatives for racial equity in schools. Additional involvement spans multiple committees within Montgomery County Public Schools, as well as roles in MCR-SGA and MoCo EmpowHER, emphasizing mental health advocacy and student representation. Maahe's educational background consists of ongoing studies at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, alongside a high school diploma from Northwest High School and an Associate of Science from Montgomery College.
