What to expect from the application and interview process

We want to hire the best people, regardless of their background. It’s also really important to us that we hire in a way which is both effective and aligns with our values.

What the process will look like for you:

Step 1: Application review

When applying for the role, you’ll be asked to submit your CV and three questions which will help us understand how you think about work and whether you’re a good fit for the role. Your answers will be scored blind to prevent bias. If you score well, we will email you to schedule a phone call with someone from the hiring team.

Step 2: Phone screen

This stage of the interview process is an opportunity to screen for the basic requirements of the job, find out more about your expectations, and answer any initial questions you might have about the role and Unmade. This will be a quick (15 minute) phone call.

Step 3: Interview part 1 - Technical skills & experience

This interview will normally be with the hiring manager and another team member you would work with closely in the role. The interview will last around 50 minutes and we'll focus on the technical skills and traits needed to be successful in the job. This could take various forms, depending on the role you're interviewing for. We expect this interview to be conducted in person.

Step 4: Interview part 2 - Values & behaviours

You'll meet with two other members of the team. It will take around 50 minutes, and we'll be focussing on how you communicate and work as a part of a team, and the qualities and behaviours that show alignment with our company values:

We are greater than the sum of our parts

We make a positive difference

We strive for a better solution

We embrace change

We assume best intent
