Colin Kelly

Scientist III at Unnatural Products

Colin Kelly has been working in the scientific field since 2012. Colin began as an NSF-REU Fellow at the University of South Alabama's Forbes Lab, where they designed, synthesized, characterized, purified, and assayed norcantharidin-derived protein phosphatase inhibitors as potential cancer chemotherapeutics. Colin then went on to do graduate studies at UC Irvine and the University of California, Santa Cruz. In 2011, they were a tutor of organic chemistry at Oberlin College Student Academic Services and an undergraduate student researcher at Oberlin College's Nee lab, where they worked on cucurbituril synthesis and purification, thermal gravimetric analysis of cucurbiturils and cucurbituril complexes, and the synthesis of PEGylated adamantylamine. Currently, they are a Scientist I at Unnatural Products Inc.

Colin Kelly attended Oberlin College from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biochemistry and Neuroscience. Colin then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at UC Irvine from 2014 to 2015.
