Samir Khare

Samir Khare has an extensive work experience spanning over several years. Samir currently holds the position of Chief Information Officer at UNO Digital Bank since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at FMBcapital Holdings Plc as the Group Chief Digital Officer and Group Chief Information & Digital Officer from September 2018 to December 2022. Samir'sresponsibilities at FMBcapital included defining and executing the group's digital strategy, setting up a technology-driven solution architecture for digital banking, and contributing to the growth and governance of the banking group.

Before joining FMBcapital, Samir worked as the Chief Information Officer at SBM Bank from July 2016 to August 2018. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing the technology strategy across multiple countries of operations and establishing a technology architecture for digital banking. Samir also managed the System Integrator team.

Samir also has experience at CRISIL Limited as the Director of Risk Solutions, where they led the delivery of risk management solutions and project implementations at banks and financial institutions. Samir was also responsible for managing a team and developing software tools for risk models according to BASEL norms.

In addition, Samir co-founded Omni.Care and served as a Tech Advisor from July 2015 to July 2016. Samir was also the Chief Information Officer at Fullerton India from September 2005 to July 2015, where they oversaw various IT functions and collaborated with business and support units to achieve corporate goals.

Before their tenure at Fullerton India, Samir worked at Citi in various roles, including Assistant Vice President and Senior Manager, from June 1998 to August 2005.

Samir's career began at K. Raheja Constructions, where they worked as an Engineer from June 1995 to August 1996.

Samir Khare completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Civil from the University of Mumbai, from 1991 to 1995. After that, they pursued a Master's in Management Studies (MMS) with a specialization in Finance at the University of Mumbai, from 1996 to 1998.
