Birgit Skarstein

Birgit Skarstein is a professional athlete specializing in rowing with extensive experience in performance aspects including physiology, psychology, and team development at Olympiatoppen since January 2013. In addition to athletic pursuits, Birgit holds various leadership roles including Board Member positions at Uno-X Mobility Cycling, Hjerneforskningsfondet for Kavli-instituttet, Sparebankstiftelsen DNB, and Utøverkomiteen Norge. As Advisory Board Chair at REITAN AS and Co-founder of Stiftelsen VI, Birgit focuses on improving life quality for disabled individuals. Birgit also contributes to the International Paralympic Committee as an Athlete Council Member, advocating for inclusivity in Para sports. With a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Oslo, Birgit has further engaged in international political affairs through the International Visitor Leadership Program.
