Irene Díaz

Irene Diaz de Aguilar is a senior specialist at Principles for Responsible Investment, focusing on investor stewardship and sustainability outcomes since July 2020. Previously, Irene held various roles at the Wheeler Institute for Business and Development, where significant achievements included developing a framework for mapping the SDG impact and delivering a large conference. Irene has experience in legal roles, having worked as a lawyer at Aguilar Abogados and Uría Menéndez, providing expertise in corporate and commercial law, along with legal internships at organizations such as UNHCR and RADDHO, centered on asylum regulations and human rights advocacy. Irene's academic background includes an MSc in International Relations and History from the London School of Economics, an LL.M. from CEF Centro de Estudios Financieros, and a double Bachelor's degree in Law and Economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, complemented by an exchange year at Freie Universität Berlin.
