Roberto Busó-García

Roberto Busó-García has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Roberto is currently serving as the Director of Engineering, Platform at Unqork, where they are responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and delivery of the platform's Version Control System. Roberto has also led the Data Experience Team, increasing feature delivery by over 300% in just four months.

Prior to their role at Unqork, Roberto held the position of General Manager & Product Lead, SDLC & Extensibility Camp, where they led the hiring, roadmap, and strategy of the SDLC and Extensibility Team. Roberto initiated Unqork's configuration foray into CI/CD integrations and designed and deployed internal observability, governance, and utility tools.

Before joining Unqork, Roberto worked as the Director of Applications Engineering and Solutions Architect at Unqork, where they served as the lead technical executive for various large-scale software delivery programs. Roberto founded and led the Integrations Team, responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of all scheduled lambda functions.

Outside of Unqork, Roberto has experience working at Johns Hopkins University, where they held roles such as Founding Director & CPO of the Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund in Film & Media and Founding Director & CPO of the Film and Media Masters Program. Roberto designed and led a media fund that empowered filmmakers from underrepresented communities and developed a successful graduate program in Film & Media Studies.

Roberto also has experience in finance and film acquisition, having worked at Alquimia Films & Tech, where they raised funds for independent feature-length films, and HBO, where they assessed the creative and financial value of films for possible acquisition.

Before that, Roberto worked in public relations and advertising at Hill & Knowlton, where they designed and executed communication strategies for various clients.

Roberto Busó-García has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Literature from Harvard University. Roberto also has completed a Full Stack Web Development program at the Flatiron School. Additionally, Roberto has obtained certifications as an Unqork Subject Matter Expert (SME) in February 2020 and as a Certified Unqork Configurator in October 2019 from the institution Unqork.
