Chief Field Education Program, Jordan Field at UNRWA

Oruba Almusa, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of education. Oruba began their career at Al Khawarezmi Community College as a Technical Instructor in Paramedical. Oruba then moved on to Arab Community College and Al Qadesiyeh College, where they continued to work as a Technical Instructor in Paramedical. In 1993, they joined Al Quds Community College as a Technical Instructor in Paramedical and later became the Head of the Paramedical Section. From 1997 to 1999, they served as the Vice Dean of Al Quds Community College, which is now known as Luminos. In 1999, they became the Vice Dean of AL Quds Community College (Luminos). Oruba'snext career move was to Amman Training College, where they served as the Deputy Dean from 2006 to 2011 and then as the Acting Dean from 2010 to 2012. Oruba then joined UNRWA as the Chief Field Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Jordan Field from 2011 to 2017. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Field Education Program at UNRWA, where they are responsible for the strategic planning and operational management of the education program in Jordan. Additionally, they served as the Acting Deputy Director of UNRWA Affairs/Programs from 2020 to 2022. Throughout their career, Dr. Almusa has focused on providing quality education and vocational training opportunities for Palestinian refugee children and youth in Jordan.

Oruba Almusa, Ph.D., obtained their Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Jordan in 1988. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same university in 2005. Oruba then furthered their education and attained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Curricula and Pedagogy from The World Islamic Sciences & Education University - W.I.S.E between 2013 and 2017.

In addition to their academic achievements, Oruba Almusa has also acquired several certifications to enhance their professional development. These certifications include: "Gender and Organizational Change" from ITCILO in May 2022, "LEE KUAN YEW Senior Fellowship in Public Service Program" from the National University of Singapore in November 2021, "Leading for Excellence and Equity (Advanced Education Leadership)" from Harvard University in April 2021, "Managing Evidence (Advanced Education Leadership)" from Harvard University in July 2020, and "Leading Learning (Advanced Education Leadership)" from Harvard University in April 2020. Furthermore, they obtained the "EFQM Assessor Training" from an EFQM Partner in December 2019. Oruba Almusa also possesses a Diploma in Leadership and Management Program from the Cambridge International College.

Regarding future certifications, Oruba Almusa is due to complete the "E-Learning on Sustaining the Elimination of Child Labour 2023" from ITCILO, although the specific timeframe for completion is unknown.
