Alexis Zamira MacIel

Alexis Zamira Maciel currently serves as a Senior Investment Associate at Unshackled Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund dedicated to retaining foreign talent in the U.S., since January 2022. In addition to this role, Alexis is a Senior Analyst at SomosVC and previously held the position of Board Member at Max Borges Agency, where business development efforts focused on consumer tech communications and strategy. Prior experience includes working as a Startup Incubation Analyst at ACATE, supporting innovation in Santa Catarina, an analyst in the Office of the Chairman at McLarty Associates, and research internships at the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Department of Justice. Alexis holds a Bachelor's degree in Development Economics and International Development from American University School of International Service and has attended Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina and Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo.
