Jessica Velazquez

Jessica Velazquez currently serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors and a Board Member for the Initiative for Independent Schooling in Puerto Rico Inc. Since June 2022, Jessica has held the position of Lead Technical Writer at Unwin Company, where responsibilities include preparing Department of Energy technical reports on environmental safety and health, and nuclear energy assessments. From June 2016 to June 2022, Jessica was the President of Wanderlust Planner LLC, focusing on organizing personalized travel itineraries. Previous experience includes roles at Honeywell Aerospace, including Hardware Engineer III and Engineer Test II, with a strong background in testing hardware design and software development for space vehicles and satellites, complemented by a Six-Sigma Green Belt certification. Additional experience includes positions as a Quality Engineer at LifeScan and as a College Grad Process Engineer, alongside volunteer work at Jesus de Nazareth Children Foster Home. Jessica graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de Puerto Rico.
