Roxanne Burton

Roxanne Burton is currently the Head of Account Management in San Francisco at UOVO. Roxanne has a long and varied history working in the art world in many capacities.

Roxanne first worked as a Museum Store Sales Associate at The Contemporary Jewish Museum from July 2014 to June 2015. In this position, they were responsible for customer service and knowledge of store merchandise and Judaica.

From June 2014 to August 2015, they worked as a Gallery Guide at the Oakland Museum of California. In this role, they oversaw galleries and maintained knowledge of the permanent and temporary exhibitions. Roxanne was also responsible for protecting the art and artifacts and interacting with visitors.

From September 2014 to May 2015, they worked as Co-Curator/Registrar for Martin Wong: Painting is Forbidden. In this role, they were charged with the request of loans, shipping, and insurance. Roxanne liaised with 15 lenders and organized exhibition details for over 150 works.

Roxanne also has experience working as a preparator for MFA Thesis Exhibition at California College of the Arts and as a co-curator for BFA First Year Exhibition, also at California College of the Arts.

Lastly, they have experience as an archivist, having worked for Cynthia "Kiki" Wallis from October 2013 to December 2013.

Roxanne Burton earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Curatorial Practice from California College of the Arts and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Art: Studio Art and Art Theirtory from University of Southern Indiana.
