Michael Johnsen

Michael Johnsen is an experienced USA Representative for Up with People since January 2016, where involvement includes fostering understanding through service and music while traveling and engaging with local communities. Prior to this role, Michael worked as a Substitute Teacher in Lyons Township High School District 204 from August 2015 to January 2016, executing lesson plans and supporting students aged 14-18, including those with mental disabilities. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in English Studies from Illinois State University, earned between 2011 and 2015, and attended the University of Stirling in 2014, as well as graduating from Lyons Township High School District 204 in 2011.
