Lucy Shenouda MCC, ACTC, ESIA is the Principal of FosterEssence Professional Coaching and a GTCI Faculty Member at the Global Team Coaching Institute. Lucy also serves as the ICF Toronto Annual Awards Judging Panel Lead Judge and hosts learning sessions for the World Business & Executive Coach Summit. Additionally, Lucy works as a Fellow Coach at BetterUp and provides leadership coaching for Up With Women. Up With Women is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping recently homeless and at-risk women to build sustainable, prosperous careers and businesses with the aim of permanently exiting poverty. Who we are: Up With Women is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping recently homeless and at-risk women to build sustainable, prosperous careers and businesses with the aim of permanently exiting poverty. What we do: Up With Women clients undergo a year-long intensive program of strategic career development. Our program consists of bi-weekly career coaching, group development, and highly focused workshops. Why we do it: Talented women are falling through the cracks. Many of the women we serve have experienced career interruptions due to life events, such as violence, health crisis, discrimination, etc. Once they are able to return to work, they often find that the job opportunities are not there as even a short employment gap of four months can significantly reduce the chance of receiving a call back for a job opportunity.
