Jim Fong has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Jim started their career at Kelliher Samets Volk as a Research Director. Jim then worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Trinity College and the University of Vermont. Jim also served as the President of Diagnostics Plus and later became the VP of Sales and Marketing at the same company. Jim Fong worked at Penn State University as an Adjunct Instructor and later became the Director of Marketing, Research, and Planning. Jim held the position of Adjunct Instructor at Duquesne University and Drexel University. Jim Fong also worked as a Marketing Faculty Adjunct in the MBA program at Framingham State University. Jim joined UPCEA (University Professional and Continuing Education Association) as the Director of the Center for Research and Strategy, and eventually became the Chief Research Officer. Jim is currently an Adjunct Instructor and MOOC Course Developer at the University of California, Davis. Throughout their career, Jim Fong has accumulated expertise in research, marketing, strategy, and education.

Jim Fong has a strong educational background in the field of business, marketing, strategy, and statistics. Jim obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Vermont in 1987. Jim then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Statistics, which they completed in 1989 from the same university. Later, they further enhanced their knowledge by completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Marketing and Strategy from the University of Vermont in 1997.
