Brian Anderson, CISSP

Brian Anderson, CISSP, has over 20 years of diverse work experience in information security, cloud operations, and technical solutions. Brian is currently the Chief Information Security Officer at uPerform, where they direct security, risk management, and compliance efforts. Brian has also served as the Acting CISO and Sr. Director, IT & Cloud Operations at uPerform, overseeing the implementation of a DevOps framework and ensuring quality releases. Prior to this, they were the Director of IT & Cloud Operations, where they established a strategy for cloud growth and led a remote team. Brian also has experience as a Manager of Cloud Operations, where they focused on infrastructure security best practices and scalability. In addition, they managed a team as the Manager of Technical Solutions, supporting global clients and implementing a culture of root cause analysis and proactive support. Outside of uPerform, Brian has worked as a Consultant at Skymist Strategy LLC, providing information security and compliance expertise to clients. Brian'sprevious roles include Senior Network Engineer at RWD Technologies, Internet Data Center Technician at Tekmark Global Solutions / AT&T, and Systems Administrator at Florida State University. Brian's experience spans a range of industries and they have demonstrated success in improving security frameworks, obtaining compliance certifications, and streamlining processes.

Brian Anderson, CISSP, earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Technology from the University of Central Florida from 2002 to 2005. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)2 in December 2013. Furthermore, they hold multiple certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS Certified Security – Specialty (obtained in February 2022), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (obtained in December 2021), AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate (obtained in November 2021), and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (obtained in June 2020). Additionally, they achieved the Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO) certification from EC-Council in January 2022.
