Jochen Effey

Jochen Effey has extensive work experience in research and development (R&D) roles, primarily in the food industry. Jochen started their career at Unilever in 2001, where they held various positions such as Technical Project Leader, R&D Group Leader, and Global Project Leader. During their time at Unilever, they were responsible for leading global projects, managing operations, and serving as a business partner for R&D processing. In 2018, they joined Upfield as an R&D Global Project Leader for Plant Butter & Melanges. Jochen later became the R&D Portfolio Leader for Creams and then transitioned to R&D Lead Cheese. Their most recent role at Upfield is R&D Lead Prototyping, Pilot Plants, and UFSC Site Leader.

Jochen Effey earned a Dipl.-Ing. degree in process engineering from Technische Universität Clausthal between 1992 and 1997.
