Shirin Nikaein

Shirin Nikaein is the Co-Founder and CEO of Upful.ai. Shirin has dedicated their career to developing innovative technology solutions that make a positive impact on people's lives.

Shirin started their career as an engineer, leading headphone product development at Beats by Dr. Dre. Shirin then transitioned into product management, overseeing the development of TeleSign's PhoneID, Score, and TeleBureau products.

In 2017, Shirin returned to school to get their MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management. While at UCLA, Shirin was awarded the Entrepreneurial Spirit Fellowship and was selected to attend Recode's 2018 Code Conference. Shirin was also elected as Class Council Member and Career Representative, and served on UCLA's 5-member Venture Capital Investment Competition team - which won the "Entrepreneur's Choice" award at the Silicon Valley Regional Competition.

After graduation, Shirin co-founded Upful.ai - a company that is using artificial intelligence to help businesses make more informed hiring decisions. Under Shirin's leadership, Upful.ai has been recognized as one of the most promising startups in the AI space, winning awards such as the Pitch AI competition and being accepted into the Techstars Accelerator program.

Shirin Nikaein has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, a Master of Business Administration - MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. Shirin also has a certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) and a certification from the Scrum Alliance in Certified ScrumMaster and Certified Scrum Product Owner.
