The opportunity:
As Uphold continues to develop innovative products that serve cryptocurrency customers around the world, risk will increase in complexity and scale. As part of the Fraud Prevention team, the Fraud Analyst will play a critical role in mitigating fraud, connecting with customers who are at risk of fraud, and working with department leadership to report found fraud.
What you will be doing:
Contact members to verify the activity in their accounts
Contact members to assist in resolving fraud related account issues
Document and analyze findings of fraud trends to report to the Management Team.
Identify ways to improve internal or external processes in order to mitigate fraud.
Identify bad actor behaviors in order to implement systems or processes to alert/stop activity.
Track and Monitor merchant or cardholder/Financial Institution fraud scheme data to identify suspicious activity
Reviewing and investigating reports of suspected fraudulent activity
Monitor real time queues and identify high risk transactions
Observe customer transactions to identify fraudulent activity such as account take over, friendly fraud, ACH Fraud and other risks

Qualifications:
Passion for fighting fraud and providing a world-class customer experience
2+ years of experience in fraud prevention
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Ability to prioritize multiple inputs by customer experience and financial impacts
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with customers and individuals at various levels
Works well under pressure while consistently meeting time-sensitive deadlines
Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills
Skilled at performing complicated tasks through planning and setting goals that utilize extensive experience, judgment, and research
Team player and self-starter, with a general happy disposition
Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) or Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs, etc.) software
