Daniel Thiessen

Daniel Thiessen is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in various roles, currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Uplight since August 2019. Prior to this, Daniel held several positions at Uplight, including Senior Software Engineering Manager, Engineering Manager, Staff Software Engineer, and Lead DBA. Daniel's career also includes a role as Lead Database Administrator and Program Engineer at Ecotagious from September 2017 to December 2019, and experience as a Land Surveyor at Athabaskan Resource Company from February 2012 to January 2016. Early in the career, Daniel interned at Tradeworks BC and worked as a Tree Planter at Nata Reforestation from May 2009 to August 2011. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Stephen's University.
