Neil Welch is an accomplished professional in the fields of strength and conditioning and biomechanics. Currently serving as the Head of Lab Services and Research and Strength and Conditioning Coach at UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic since June 2013, Neil combines practical coaching with ongoing research as a PhD student. Previous experience includes a role as a Run Biomechanist at Profeet and as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at nw conditioning from November 2009 to June 2013. Academically, Neil holds a PhD in strength and conditioning and biomechanics from Dublin City University, an MSc in Strength and Conditioning from The University of Bolton, and a BSc in Sport Science and Physiology from the University of Leeds.
