Matt Breyne

CFO at UpScript

Matt Breyne is the current Chief Financial Officer at UpScript. Prior to their current position, they served as the President and Chief Operating Officer at FINOVA Capital Corporation from January 1987 to January 2000. In their role at FINOVA, Matt was responsible for the company's profit and loss, day-to-day operations, and business dealings with the board of directors. Matt was also instrumental in designing and implementing general retention plans, reducing staffing levels, and conducting business reviews and forecasts.

During their time at FINOVA, Matt helped the company weather a difficult period by securing private market securitizations totaling $1.1 billion and refinancing individual loans worth $500 million. Matt also recommended that the company retain an investment bank and a nationally-recognized restructuring firm to help prepare for a potential sale or bankruptcy. As a result of their efforts, FINOVA was eventually acquired by Berkadia in a deal that was announced in 2000.

Matt Breyne's educational career includes a BS in Finance from Northern Illinois University.
