Brett Salmon's work experience includes senior roles in various companies spanning from 2007 to present. Currently, they work as the Senior Director of Operations at UPSIDE Foods since August 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Lab Operations at UPSIDE Foods from August 2018 to June 2023. Before joining UPSIDE Foods, Brett worked at Intrexon Corporation as the Associate Director of Laboratory and Administrative Operations from August 2017 to July 2018, and as the Laboratory Manager from March 2014 to August 2017. Brett also held the position of Biology Lab Manager at Amyris Inc from April 2010 to March 2014, and worked as an Applied Research Associate at Luca Technologies from June 2008 to August 2008. Additionally, they gained experience as a Laboratory Technician at USGS from June 2007 to October 2007, and as an Intern at Colorado Green Lending from April 2007 to June 2007.
Brett (Gellman) Salmon completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2004 to 2008. In 2008, they also earned a CU Business Intensive Certificate (CUBIC) from the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business. Brett later pursued a Green Apprenticeship Program in Permaculture at the Kibbutz Lotan in 2009. From 2012 to 2014, they studied Project Management at the University of California, Berkeley.
