Charlie Benton

Charlie Benton has a diverse work experience spanning across different roles and industries. Charlie most recently worked at UPSIDE Foods as a Senior Director of Engineering, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Mechanical Engineering at UPSIDE Foods from 2021 to 2023. Before joining UPSIDE Foods, Charlie worked at Porifera as the Director of Engineering from 2013 to 2021, and as a Senior Engineer from 2011 to 2013. Charlie also gained experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Geo. M. Martin Co. from 2007 to 2011. Charlie's early career includes a role as a Material Science Lab Assistant at the University of California at San Diego from 2006 to 2007.
