Boaz Hartal

Boaz leads Mobility-driven new business and operations at Upstream, offering over three decades in operational and strategic experience. Prior to joining Upstream, Boaz led Ford Motor’s Research & Innovation Center in Israel, which was founded to deepen the collaboration with the Israeli startup community and boost global innovation at Ford. Boaz previously acted as a senior defense-tech consultant at Matrix and held various leadership roles during his 30-year tenure with the Israeli Military. Most recently, Boaz served as the head of the operational intelligence department of the Israeli Air Force, specializing in operational and technological aspects of complex and rapidly changing environments. Boaz holds a BA in Economics from Bar Ilan University, and MBA from Ben Gurion University, focusing on hi-tech management and entrepreneurship.
