Youenn Lebras

Youenn Lebras is a software engineer who currently works at UpStride. Youenn has also worked at the previous company, UpStride, from February 2020 to July 2021 as a software development engineer. There, they were in charge of developing an AI engine, enabling training and inference of neural nets using different geometric algebras. The engine was plugged to TensorFlow and PyTorch. Written in C++ / CUDA, it leverages libraries such as OneAPI and cuDNN to get maximum speed (e.g 2D-convolution). Youenn also was responsible for the design and maintenance CI/CD and compilation pipelines of the engine, as well as the design and execution of test plans based on real-world use cases. Testing different versions of TF and image classification neural nets. Youenn worked closely with data engineers to understand their needs and define feature requests. In addition, they did system administration of the company infrastructure (physical servers) and prototyping real-time PPE detection solutions using TF and OpenVINO.

Before working at Upstride, Youenn Lebras was an enseignement at ISTY - University of Versailles Saint-Quentin from October 2015 to June 2019. Youenn was also a maitre de stage at UVSQ Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines from April 2018 to September 2018.

Youenn Lebras has a PhD in Computer Science from Université Paris-Saclay, a Master 2 (M2) in Informatique from Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, and a Master en informatique from Université d'Orléans. Youenn also has a Bachelor's degree in Informatique from Université d'Orléans and an Associate's degree in Informatique from Université d'Orléans.

Their manager is Gary Roth, CEO. They are on a team with Chris Doran - Scientific Advisor, Wilder Lopes - CTO & Co-Founder, and Marcel Ndeffo - DevOps Engineer.
