Steve Daviss MD DLFAPA FASAM serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Optum Maryland since December 2019, overseeing behavioral health services for Maryland Medicaid. As a leader in addiction medicine, Steve Daviss holds the positions of Medical Director and Immediate Past President of the Maryland-DC Society of Addiction Medicine while also participating on the Accreditation Committee for URAC and as a member of the American Medical Informatics Association since 2008. Previous roles include President of FUSE Health Strategies, Collaborative Care Psychiatrist at Mindoula Health, and Medical Director at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. With a medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and extensive experience in patient care, healthcare policy, and technology, Steve Daviss is committed to improving integration of mental health and addiction services in primary care settings.
