Michelle Lewis

Michelle Lewis is an experienced education and human resources professional currently serving as Deputy Chief of Staff - People at The Urban Assembly, Inc., where responsibilities include managing human resources functions and implementing equitable policies. In addition, Lewis acts as Campaign Treasurer for a NYC Council Member's re-election campaign and serves as a Field Supervisor for social studies educators at Hunter College. As the CEO and Founder of L.E.A.R.N Coaching & Consulting, LLC, Lewis brings expertise in coaching and consulting. Previous roles include Associate Director of Performance Management and Development for Charter at New Visions for Public Schools, where management of performance initiatives impacted over 400 employees, and a history educator at the NYC Department of Education. Lewis holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Arts in Social Studies Teacher Education and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration.
