Aren Castro

Aren Castro is an experienced professional in urban design and architecture, currently serving as the Associate Director of Design and Neighborhood Equity at the Center for Justice Innovation since May 2023. Additionally, Aren is a Forefront Fellow at the Urban Design Forum, where a commitment to building equitable cities is emphasized. Previously, Aren worked as a Fellow at The Street Plans Collaborative and as a Project Designer at BROOKS + SCARPA ARCHITECTS, contributing to significant projects such as urban design manuals and exhibition designs. Alongside a background in graphic design from Florida Atlantic University, Aren has held various roles as an architectural intern and teaching assistant, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of architectural processes and educational support. Aren holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Florida Atlantic University and a high school diploma in Architectural Engineering from Atlantic Technical College.
