John Surico

John Surico is a Senior Fellow for Climate & Opportunity at the Center for an Urban Future, leading a research initiative aimed at fostering a sustainable New York City. Surico serves as a Fellow with the Urban Design Forum, engaging in conversations and research within a global network of professionals. Additionally, Surico is an Adjunct Professor at New York University, teaching courses focused on urban reporting and serving as a peer mentor for graduate students. With a substantial background in journalism, Surico has contributed to various major outlets, focusing on urban planning topics, while previously serving as the first Scholar-in-Residence at the Central Park Conservancy. Surico holds an MS in Transport and City Planning from UCL and a BA in Journalism and Politics from New York University.
