Donald Marron

Donald Marron is a seasoned economist specializing in economic policy, financial analysis, and budget issues. Currently, Marron serves as the Director of Economic Policy Initiatives and Institute Fellow at The Urban Institute, a position held since June 2013. As President of Marron Economics LLC since August 2009, Marron engages in consulting, writing, and public speaking on various economic topics. Previous roles include Director of the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center, Visiting Professor at Georgetown Public Policy Institute, and Member of the Council of Economic Advisers. Marron's extensive experience also includes leadership positions at the Congressional Budget Office and the Joint Economic Committee, as well as serving as Chief Financial Officer for ReCare, Inc. Marron earned a PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA in Mathematics from Harvard University.
