Emma Fernandez is a skilled policy professional with extensive experience in public policy and research. Currently serving as a Policy Associate at the Urban Institute since February 2022, Emma previously worked as a Policy Analyst for the Committee on Information Technology at the City and County of San Francisco from October 2019 to January 2022, and as a Policy Consultant for the San Francisco Elections Commission in early 2019. Emma's background includes a role as a Summer Fellow at the Boston Mayor's Office of New Urban Mechanics in 2018, as well as experience as a Research Assistant at MDRC from 2016 to 2017, and as a Service Member for FoodCorps from 2014 to 2015. Emma holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University.
