Julia B. Isaacs is a distinguished expert in public policy with extensive experience in child and family policy, data analysis, and budget management. Currently serving as a Senior Fellow at The Urban Institute since April 2012, Julia previously held the position of Child and Family Policy Fellow at The Brookings Institution from 2006 to March 2012. Julia's earlier career includes a role as Director of the Division of Data and Technical Analysis at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from 1998 to February 2006, as well as a decade as a Budget Analyst at the Congressional Budget Office from 1985 to 1995. Julia B. Isaacs holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy Analysis from the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from Williams College.
