Lauren Farrell is a seasoned policy analyst at the Urban Institute, where since December 2018, responsibilities have included co-leading the Community Engaged Methods users group, managing project teams, and conducting research on critical issues such as gender-based violence and youth programming. Previous experiences include significant contributions as an intern at the Texas Innocence Network, where a successful court motion was filed to stay an execution, as well as roles at the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan and Food & Water Watch, where research and community organizing efforts were focused on voting rights and environmental health. Lauren holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and has additional education from the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan.
