Oriya Cohen

Oriya Cohen has extensive experience in policy development and management, currently serving as a Policy Program Manager at the Urban Institute since August 2018, after holding roles as Policy Program Associate and Policy Analyst. Prior experience includes a fellowship in Public Affairs at Coro Northern California, where impactful work was done with the Alameda County Housing Services Office on best practices for homeless services. Additional roles include serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UC Berkeley's College of Environmental Design, a Policy Associate for the City of Oakland, and a Board Member for Sustainable Housing at California. Oriya Cohen also held the position of Legislative Director with the Associated Students of the University of California, contributing to policy formulation and student-administrator liaison efforts. Oriya Cohen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sustainable Environmental Design from the University of California, Berkeley.
