Michelle Leader

Michelle Leader, CPA, CA, currently serves as Program Manager for Policy Development and Environmental, Social, and Governance Reporting at York Region, a role held since July 2015, alongside various other management positions within the organization. Prior to this, Michelle held the position of Accounting & Financial Reporting Lead at BMW Group Canada from April 2013 to June 2015 and worked as a Financial Analyst at BlackBerry from January 2010 to April 2013. Additional experience includes roles at Lexmark Canada Inc. as a Business Analyst and at Johnson & Johnson as a Financial Analyst. Michelle began a career in accounting as a Forensic and Investigative Accounting Co-op at Navigant in 2007. Michelle holds a Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from Western University and a BBA in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University.
