Jen Mulzer

Jen Mulzer has over 20 years of experience in various roles related to talent acquisition and human resources. Jen currently works as a Senior Corporate Recruiter at Humana, where they serve as a recruitment business partner for the corporate team. Jen specializes in sourcing and recruiting mid to high-level professional and leadership roles.

Prior to their current role, Jen was a Talent Acquisition Lead at Urban One, Inc, where they focused on filling difficult-to-find positions in the broadcast radio/TV and online/digital media industries.

Jen also has experience at Emmis Communications, where they held multiple roles, including Director of Talent Acquisition & Development, Manager of Talent & Employee Relations, HR Business Partner, and Legal Analyst. In these roles, they managed recruitment processes, employee relations, and HR operations.

Jen has also worked as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Marian University Indianapolis and Ivy Tech Community College, where they taught and facilitated student learning. Jen began their career at Indianapolis Monthly as an Administrative & Editorial Assistant and later became an Editorial Intern/Contributing Writer.

Jen started their career as a Youth Program Director at the Muncie Family YMCA, where they managed employees, budgets, and created professional materials for the organization. Overall, Jen Mulzer has a diverse background in talent acquisition, human resources, teaching, and editorial work.

Jen Mulzer holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing from Butler University, which is expected to be completed in 2024. Jen also obtained a Masters of Arts (MA) degree in English and Journalism from Ball State University in December 2005, with a focus on Communication, Information and Media, and a minor in English. Earlier, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Telecommunications from Ball State University in 2002, with minors in Japanese and Journalism. In addition to their academic achievements, Jen Mulzer has obtained professional certifications including the Strategic Talent Acquisition Certificate (STA) from the Human Capital Institute (HCI) in 2017 and the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in 2012.
