Emily Dean is an experienced leader in the field of decarbonization and energy management, currently serving as the Head of Decarbonization at Urban Partners since April 2024. Prior to this role, Emily held various leadership positions at NYSERDA from July 2016 to March 2024, including Director of Federal Funding Strategy, Director of Housing Decarbonization, and Director of Market Development. Emily's earlier career includes significant contributions at the City of New York's DCAS Energy Management from September 2006 to July 2016, where roles included Deputy Assistant Commissioner for Energy Policy & Program Implementation, Director of Energy Programs and Strategy, and Senior Project Manager. Emily's early career also included work as a Program Assistant at the National Audubon Society from 2003 to 2005. Educationally, Emily holds a Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science & Policy from Columbia University's SIPA and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Design and Physics from New York University.
