Johan Madsen

Johan Madsen is an experienced professional in the field of finance and decarbonization. Currently serving as the Head of Decarbonization at Urban Partners since April 2023, Johan previously held various roles at NREP, advancing from Associate to Manager between April 2018 and January 2024. Notably, Johan has also served as Chairman of the Board at True Energy ApS from August 2019 to April 2021. Prior experience includes positions at Ørsted, where responsibilities included lead financial analysis for M&A transactions exceeding £2 billion, and DONG Energy, focusing on the valuation and structuring of energy asset acquisitions and divestments. Johan began a career in finance as a Junior Analyst and has educational qualifications including an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and an exchange program in Finance at the University of Richmond.
