Kevin Hillard

Kevin Hillard is a 9th and 10th grade science teacher at Urban Prep Academies. Kevin previously worked as a research and development engineer at FMC Technologies from August 2013 to August 2014. In this role, they performed engineering design, research and development work on projects assigned under the supervision of experienced engineers. Kevin also evaluated equipment systems and generated new equipment designs. Additionally, Kevin designed and tested vibratory feeders, bucket elevators, screw conveyers and conveyer components to ensure that they would not fail during testing. Kevin also designed incline seal and load test machines to ensure product assurance during extreme conditions. Lastly, Kevin redesigned outdated facility equipment to ensure product safety and ease of use.

Kevin Hillard has a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University.
