Elyse Barbell

Elyse Barbell SHRM-CP has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Elyse has worked in various roles across different organizations, primarily focusing on human capital management and workforce development. Elyse'srecent role as Vice President People & Culture at Urban Resource Institute showcases their expertise in people and culture management. Prior to that, they co-founded a workforce development organization called Searching for Good, where they worked closely with nonprofits in finding talented leaders and support staff. Elyse also served as the Vice President of Human Capital at Women In Need, Inc., where they oversaw all aspects of human capital management and implemented strategic initiatives to achieve organizational goals. In addition to their nonprofit work, Elyse has experience in executive search and talent management, having served as the COO and Managing Director for Nonprofits at Stephen-Bradford Search. Earlier in their career, they held leadership positions at Literacy Assistance Center, NEW YORK CITY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONSORTIUM, and Brooklyn College, where they contributed to curriculum development, program administration, staff training, and teaching. With a strong background in workforce development and human capital management, Elyse brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to their roles.

Elyse Barbell SHRM-CP earned a BA degree from Hofstra University between 1980 and 1984. In 2005, they obtained a certificate in Non Profit Leadership from Columbia University.
