Whelan has extensive experience in education, previously working as a bilingual kindergarten teacher, elementary Spanish teacher, and preschool teacher in various institutions, where curriculum design and innovative teaching strategies were key responsibilities. Notable expertise includes classroom instruction, language acquisition, and collaboration with educational staff to support diverse learners. Whelan is the founder of Barcelona TEFL Teachers Association and holds a Master's in Teaching from Hamline University, complemented by degrees in Spanish Literature and TEFL certifications.
