Skylar Smith

Skylar Smith is a Professor for the History of Illustration at Ringling College of Art and Design, specializing in courses that integrate various disciplines to enhance students' research and critical thinking skills. In addition to academic responsibilities, Skylar serves as Front of House Manager at Urbanite Theatre, overseeing audience experience during performances. Previous experience includes consulting for Not Your Average Joe, where contributions involved developing grant proposals and marketing strategies. Skylar held multiple roles at Inveniem, including Curator and Product Manager, and served as a Rockwell Center for American Visual Studies Fellow at the Norman Rockwell Museum. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts degree from Bard Graduate Center and Dartmouth College, and a Bachelor of Arts from Oklahoma State University, alongside a semester abroad at the University of Leicester.
