David Preston

David Preston has over 14 years of experience in the Energy and Utilities industry. David began their career in 2007 as a Design Engineer at EN Engineering, where they worked on metallurgy, integrity, and corrosion projects. In 2015, they joined Strategy&, part of the PwC network, as a Manager Strategy - Operations, where they managed teams supporting Operations Strategy initiatives for Utility clients and led the delivery of an end-to-end digital solution for field collection and management of asset data. In 2020, they joined PwC as a Director Transformation (Operations) and Senior Manager - PWC Operations Consulting (Utilities & Energy), where they led Transformation initiatives at Utilities and Energy clients and oversaw initiatives at multiple utilities focused on assessing safety and risk management capabilities. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Urbint as Vice President of Product and VP of Strategy, where they are responsible for defining Product Strategy and Growth plan, managing and designing Urbint Products, and end to end delivery and implementation of new products.

David Preston attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Materials Science and Engineering. David then attended Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management from 2012 to 2015, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategy, Finance, and Entrepreneurship. David also holds a Professional Engineer certification from Illinois.
