James Bowne

As corporate controller for Urgo, James is responsible for financial reporting as well as cash management, budgeting, financial analysis and employee development. He brings more than three decades of accounting experience to his role – the vast majority of it related to financial reporting and compliance in the hospitality industry. He also has considerable experience in system design, documentation and implementation.

James has held senior-level accounting positions at Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation, Revlon, Manor Care, Choice Hotels International, Quality Inns International (Deutschland) GmbH. He began his career in 1977 with Sheraton Inns, where he progressed to the position of property controller.

An accounting graduate of Mt. St. Mary’s University, James holds an MBA degree from The Graduate School at Hood College.
