Phil joined Urgo Hotels & Resorts in 1987. He supervises the company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, risk management, and insurance administration; including several affiliates and partnerships in the U.S. & Canada. Phil is a trustee of the Urgo Hotels 401(k) Safe Harbor Plan.
Phil’s vast experience includes a 15-year tenure with Americana Hotels Corporation where his positions included Vice President, Accounting; Director of Financial Services; Northeast Regional Controller; Property Controller; Corporate Internal Auditor and Assistant General Manager. During his time with Americana, he assisted with the sale & disposition of 36 hotels, resorts and inns. After joining Urgo Hotels & Resorts, he continued to assist Americana Hotels & Realty Corporation in Boston with the sale of its hotels and liquidation of its REIT.
