Serge Primeau

VP, Canadian Operations, Development & Finance at Urgo Hotels & Resorts

Serge Primeau has a degree in Political Science from the University of Ottawa. He has been in the hotel industry for 30+ years. His hotel career began as Director of Sales and Marketing for a major Resort before moving to a General Manager’s role.

Serge joined Urgo Hotels in 1997 as General Manager of the Marriott Residence Inn in Mont-Tremblant Resort. As Vice President of Operations for Urgo Hotels Canada, Serge has been actively involved in the development of the Urgo Hotels Canada portfolio, by developing, opening and acquiring more than 18 hotels for the company during the last 20 years. Today, Serge leads a group of highly successful hotels and market leaders of Marriott, Hilton and IHG full-service and select-service brands, as well as some independent hotels, and he continues to be active in hotel development opportunities.

Serge has been a Board and Executive member of Quebec Resorts and Country Inns for several years; he is a founding member of the Laurentian Convention Bureau, and President of The Maple Route Association (Eastern Canada’s key suppliers of tourism products to the Japanese market). Serge is also a Board member of the Tremblant Resort Association and sits on many other Boards and Committees. He has a wide knowledge of the national and international markets and has been involved in many tourism missions in Europe, Japan and the United Stated along with the Quebec and Canadian Tourism authorities.

Serge now acts as the Vice President of Canadian Operations, Development and Finance for our growing Canadian portfolio of hotels.
