Svetlana Panicheva

Svetlana Panicheva has over 12 years of experience in research and development in the biotech industry. Svetlana is currently the Director of Research and Product Development at Urgo Medical North America since 2022. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Technical Consultant at VAPANI LLC, where they focused on the development and validation of topical drug products and medical devices. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2019, they served as the Director of R&D at Realm Therapeutics, Inc., overseeing product manufacturing and quality control for pre-clinical and clinical studies. From 2008 to 2016, they held multiple roles at PuriCore Inc., including Associate Director of R&D and Senior Scientist, where they directed cGMP manufacturing, managed intellectual property, and contributed to the development of stabilized hypochlorous acid formulations.

Svetlana Panicheva has a diverse education history. Svetlana first attended Lomonosov Moscow State Academy of Fine Chemical Technology from 1981 to 1987, where they studied Chemistry. After that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the Russian Academy of Medical Technical Sciences from 1995 to 1998, specializing in Biotechnology, Medical Devices, and Systems. In 2005, Svetlana decided to further enhance their knowledge by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, which they completed in 2007. Most recently, they have been attending Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law since 2021, where they are working towards a Master of Science in Law (MSL) focusing on the intersection of STEM with law, business, and regulation.
