Lead Propulsion Engineer, Ignition Systems at Ursa Major

Cory Rogers M.S. has a diverse work experience. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Kitchen Team Member at Chick-fil-A Restaurants, where they focused on providing safe and quality food to customers. Cory then transitioned to a role as a Student Clerical Assistant at the University of Florida Smathers Libraries in 2013. In 2014, Cory worked as a Summer Intern at Young Life, where they ensured the safety of students on a mountain bike course and maintained the bikes. In 2015, they gained further experience as a Summer Intern at NextEra Energy, Inc. Following that, Cory began their undergraduate studies at the University of Florida in 2012, where they also worked as a Grader and Tutor for the Mechanics of Materials course in 2015. In 2016, Cory began their PHD Student journey at the University of Colorado, specializing in The Labbe Lab. Most recently, Cory joined Ursa Major in 2021, where they have held the roles of Propulsion Engineer and currently serves as the Lead Propulsion Engineer.

Cory Rogers M.S. holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, which was obtained from the University of Colorado Boulder between 2016 and 2018. Prior to their master's degree, Cory Rogers earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, completing it between 2012 and 2016. Cory Rogers also attended Oviedo High School between 2008 and 2012. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as a Six Sigma White Belt from NextEra Energy, Inc. in July 2015 and as a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer from National Instruments in April 2015.
